Inspiration: Joel Sartore

May 19, 2009 • Photography

Joel Sartore is one of my favorite photographers. Mr. Sartore’s images have a haunting style that is both technically brilliant and ethereal at the same time. He’s a 20-year veteran shooter for National Geographic as well as speaker, author and teacher. His most recent projects include documenting endangered species and landscapes in order to show a world worth saving. Sartore plans to spend much of the rest of his career documenting the world’s biodiversity in studio-style portraits for a project he calls The Photo Ark.
