Hong Kong cinema at its finest, the films of Johnnie To fill your senses with beautiful cinematography, blistering action choreography and at times more plot twists than dialogue. And it’s often the dialogue that brings audiences back for more.
While hailed as the new Godfather of Action Cool, Johnnie To’s got a secret: he’s got romantic comedies and human dramas nailed down as well.
For the first time in one festival, we’re pleased to bring you the best of all worlds—high action, searing drama and shamefully romantic comedies—the world of Johnnie To.
VENUE
James Bridges Theater. Located in Melnitz Hall, on the northeast corner of the UCLA campus, near the intersection of Sunset Blvd. and Hilgard Ave.
ADMISSION
$7 general; $5 students, seniors, and UCLA Alumni Association members with ID. Advance tickets are available in-person at the box office from 6:30-7:30pm on Nov. 1, 3 and 6.
PARKING
$6, adjacent to the theater in Lot 3. Purchase from
Wyton Drive kiosk or at Lot 3 gate. Lot closes promptly at 8pm. Free parking on Loring Ave. off-campus.
